In recent years, Homkor has acquired historic properties in Kansas City, Missouri and Jacksonville, Florida for adaptive reuse and revitalization of the downtown urban cores of each city.

James Wiss

For the past 20 years, Homkor president and founder James R. Wiss has brought rewards to many investors through his deft mixture of marketing, planning, and a thorough understanding of real estate.

Formerly president and CEO of Dartmouth Corporation, Wiss has earned a well-deserved reputation as a specialist in the acquisition, rehabilitation, build-out, and lease-up of apartment houses, office/warehouse complexes, and research and development facilities.

Wiss' extensive background in accounting, marketing, planning, financing and construction management is the cornerstone of the Homkor Companies. In addition to his work as a developer, partner and manager of numerous projects, Wiss is an active and much sought after consultant for major developers and property owners in the Colorado, Kansas and Missouri markets.

Ellen Wiss

Ellen Wiss has over three decades of experience in the real estate industry, primarily with large, multi-family residential projects. She is skilled in property marketing, management, sales, acquisitions, leasing, management and green building initiatives. She helps Homkor and their clients maximize the value of their properties.

Rebecca Clevenger

Rebecca Clevenger, CPA, MBA, possesses expertise in all areas of financial reporting, cash management, and financial system analysis. Clevenger's distinctive background includes a holding current Certified Public Accountant license, a strong background in real estate accounting experience having worked for the owner of Kansas City's premier retail and office district, a strong and diverse accounting background, and experience working with government agencies.

Jean Gilbo

Homkor clients trust Jean Gilbo to manage the essential components of commercial building projects. 

As director of retail, Jean works with Homkor clients to coordinate, estimate, and improve each property she manages. Jean brings more than 20 years of experience in managing commercial properties, and knows what it takes to streamline the entire process. From hiring the architect to negotiating the lease agreement, Jean's attention to detail has enhanced the high standard of quality and operational coordination within Homkor.

Carri Schwartz has over 20 years of experience, primarily with large, multi-family communities. She is skilled in multi-site management, sales, leasing, and marketing. Carri’s forte is turning around communities that are not performing to their highest potential.
